Life as a Mrs. Beck
4.25.13
Life as a Beck has been amazing! Yes, it's only been a little over a week since I was sealed to my husband but it has been amazing! We had a nice little honeymoon in Balboa, CA and it was so fun! We rented a Seadoo and went for a ride on the ocean! It was probably the coolest thing I have done! The only thing I would change about getting a Seadoo and going for a ride on a nice sunny day is wear sunscreen. Kevin and I both fried but it was worth it! We drove back to his parents house to open our wedding gifts and then the next morning we were on our way back up to Rexburg! We stopped in Mesquite, NV to rest and then drove the rest of the way on Sunday. We got to our apartment and had to unpack everything and got settled in. Then this week has been school, school, and more school. Classes have been great and I am excited for my new major in Child Development! Not sure what I want to do with it yet but I am sure something will come! Being married to Kevin has been great! I love spending time with him and getting to know him better each and every day! Anyways, that's all for now!

Our First Pets!!
4.27.13
Last night during our date night, Kevin and I went to Walmart to get fishing licenses! Well, after we got our licenses, we started looking around the store. We got over to where the fish were and we looked at them. I wanted a fish so bad but we walked away and went to go check out. Kevin wanted to get a Mtn Dew so I said he could get one if we got fish! So we both let Walmart happy, I got my fish and he got his Mtn Dew!! But we got 7 goldfish and 1 beta fish! The beta fish is in a different container. Let's just say he wasn't really happy being with 7 goldfish... But they are all still alive!
Also, did you know that when you walk out of Walmart with fish you have to hold them up over the sensors or else they will get shocked?! Yeah, pretty crazy!

Adventures!
6.12.13
Well it has been a while since I have written on here so here it goes! Not a whole lot has happened since last time. School is going... I am so ready for it to be over though and we're just passing our half way mark. It's sunny all the time and I just want to be outside! But it will be over soon(ish). This past weekend Kevin and I went down to Utah (first time getting out of Rexburg this semester- it was very much needed) to visit family! While we were down there, Kevin surprised me by buying a new car! Well, not new new but used and new to us. It is a black Mazda 3 and she's our little baby. We do all that we can so that the car stays nice and clean! We finally got our wedding pictures and they are simply adorable! We went to Washington the first weekend in May for a wedding open house and to visit my family. It was nice to see friends and family. I also got a job! I am going to be working for Kevin's boss's wife. She got a concussion and they need help around the house and yard so that's what I'm gonna be doing (kinda stoked!). Also, for the past few weeks, I have been able to go to work with Kevin. I don't do much because his work requires lots of muscle strength which I don't really have... so I just go to talk with him and keep him company. Anything beats staying at home alone especially when I get to spend more time with the love of my life!! Anyways, that's about all for now but here are some pictures of the wedding! Enjoy!
P.S. 3 of our goldfish have died. So sad. But I am not gonna lie, I want them all to be gone, goldfish are the nastiest fish alive!

Come Sooner...
7.16.13
Well the end of the semester is coming to an end and these next 7 days are going to be freaking crazy! I just want to be in California... it can't come any faster! You know what would be fantastic?! If we could just skip these next 7 days and just jump to next Tuesday. Yes, that would be wonderful! But seeing as that probably won't happen I get to do all my finals and tests. Mmmm. My favorite.
Anyways, my brother came to visit Kevin and I a few weeks ago and that was so fun! We went to Bear World. It wasn't really worth the money but it was worth the memories! My brother also went to work with Kevin. Haha. Kevin works moving pipe and he gets up at 5:30am to move pipe and goes back out at 5:30pm to move pipe again. And both times he is out there till about 8 or 9. Well, my brother got up at 5:30am to go to work and I was just surprised that he got up that early! Let's just say that was the only time he went out to work with Kevin in the morning! But it was fun taking him to classes with me and seeing him go to classes with Kevin. After the few days that he spent with Kevin and I, the three of us drove to Washington for the Fourth of July and to see my sister, Katherine go through the temple. It was really nice to spend time with my family and to be there for Katherine. I am so proud of her! She is going on a mission to Argentina and she is going to be an awesome missionary! After going to the temple, my family, Kevin and I went to a late Fourth of July party at the Hibbards! They had an awesome firework show and it was a blast!! It was a sad saying goodbye to my family and especially Kat since that would be the last time we would be with each other till after her mission. But in 18 months, it will be a wonderful reunion with my best friend and sister! When Kevin and I got back to Rexburg it was back to school and work but in 7 days, it shall all be over and Kevin stops working this Friday which I am stoked about!! More Kevin time for me!! Haha I am very excited! Anyways that's all for now!

Our Latest Adventures!
Well, it has been a while since I have blogged so here we go! We finished the semester (obviously!) and I finished the semester strong with a 4.0 GPA I was stoked! All my hard work was worth it! We stayed in Idaho a week after the semester was over so Kevin could get more work in and so that we could go to my old roommate's wedding in Boise! It was so fun to be there and relive Kevin and I's big day! When we got back to the 'Burg, we had to hurry and pack up our apartment and clean like crazy! The people who we were renting it from were coming back earlier than we expected so we pretty much did it as fast as possible. It was insane. Another thing that made it really hectic was the only stuff we could take with us to Cali for 5 months, had to all fit in our small Mazda. Yeah, try that. Luckily we didn't own any furniture so we didn't have that stuff but still! The car was PACKED!! It was an adventure for sure! When we got our car all packed up, it was time to leave. We, especially Kevin, didn't want to leave Idaho to go to California. We liked the calm and relaxed Idaho life. Unfortunately, the time came for us to depart on our journey. On our trip down, we stopped in Utah to get some sleep in before we drove the rest of the 12 hours. When we got to Cali, there was a warm and inviting welcoming waiting for us at Kevin's parent's home! It was nice being with family! Our apartment wasn't finished so his parents said we were welcome to stay with them. So here we are until our apartment is finished! Which will be today! All that's left to do is put carpeting in and it's all ours! Since we've gotten to California, we've been living out of boxes and let's just say I'm really excited to not have wrinkly clothes!! YIPPEE!! But another adventure that we'll be coming up on when we move in is where we're going to fit everything! The apartment isn't that big and we're getting all this free furniture that I might be stressing on what we're going to do with it all. THERE IS SO MUCH FURNITURE!!! But we'll make it work! Kevin started work a week ago and yeah it's not what he wants to do, he's doing good! But before he started work, he got his wisdom teeth pulled and he was not a very happy person! But it's in the healing process by now! I'm still on the search for a job. I feel like I've applied to everywhere possible but still waiting. Hopefully something comes us and I will be hired. I really need to get a job stat. If I don't, I might go crazy... It's been tough but I'm sure something will come up! I'm going to go look for more places I can apply to today so hopefully that will raise my chances. But that about sums up our last month and a half! Stay tuned for our upcoming adventures!!

The Past 4 Months in a Nutshell...
11.10.13
Well to start off with, the past few months have been grand with this man of mine! He is constantly surprising me with flowers, random dancing in the kitchen after a long day, and just being there for me. Granted, it hasn't all been fun and easy but it's definitely been worth it. I love learning things about him everyday and being able to get to know him better! But, I don't think I'll ever be able to learn everything there is to know about him in this life time and I am so thankful that I have an eternity to learn!
The past 4 months have been filled with more fun than not fun so here we go! I was able to go to Washington to visit my family for almost a week and it was the best time I have ever spent with them! I was able to learn from my parents and strengthen my relationship with my beautiful mother, amazing father, and the best brother a sister could ask for. I love them so very much and am so thankful and blessed to call them my family. After visiting my family, I was blessed to get a job from someone in Kevin's ward! It's a part time job but I couldn't have asked for a better job! It's not always fun (seeing as I am filing papers) but it's extra money, gives me something to do (even though it is only a part time job), and I am working for some good people! It was the best job for me at this time. Also, when I got back from Washington, Kevin and I were finally able to move in to our apartment, it's little and quaint, and again, perfect for our situation! It amazes me everyday that our Heavenly Father really does now what our needs are and it's kind of fun to see how things all worked out in the end! It's a wonderful blessing! After we moved in to our place, we had a little visitor come stay with us for a weekend. We got to have Taylor Callahan with us! It was fun to have my "little sister" come visit! It was too short of a visit but I am thankful to have her in my life even when we live in two different states! After that, we went to the pumpkin patch with Kevin's family! At the place, there was a corn maze which we went through and that was fun too! When we were done, Kevin, Trevor, and Megan (Kev's siblings) decided to go on a little bike ride. Let's just say that the only one who was able to actually fit on the bike, was Megan. Two big boys on two little bikes. It was great! Kevin also got me a pumpkin at the pumpkin patch! He probably was going crazy by the end of picking it because I was being too indecisive. SO he picked one. Made it a lot faster and easier. As we got around to carving it later that week, I let Kevin pick what we would carve! He chose to make a face... with a mustache! He's in a mustache phase these days. BUT ANYWAYS... as we were carving, he left me with the squiggly mouth and I messed up and ruined it. And so that would be the reason why we never got a picture of it, because it was just too embarrassing to display to the world. Later in the month of October, Kevin treated me to a fun day at Disneyland and California Adventures! It was a blast and I couldn't have asked for a better day date with my man! I am so thankful to have a loving husband who will do things that I like to do too! He is so great! On Halloween, Kevin and I spent the night at his parents house where they had some yummy chili and good company! Then we took the trick-or-treaters out for a little bit till the party was over! Since then, it's just been mellow. I registered for my classes next semester and I am looking forward to my schedule! I think it's going to be a good but hard semester but in the end, worth it! The past 4 months in Cali have been good and I wouldn't change a thing about anything, regardless of what I don't particularly like.
Looks like that's it for now but thanks for reading! Stay tuned for next time!

My Pregnancy With Charlotte
So to start off... I suck at blogging! But I am pregnant and want to share something that I always want to remember! Sorry it is so long but it's mainly for me so if you're reading this thank you!
I thought I would write a document about my pregnancy with baby girl #1. Today is October 13, 2014 (33 weeks today) and my due date is December 1, 2014. I only have 7 more weeks to go! With this being said, there will be more added as those 7 weeks go by.
During my first trimester, I didn't get sick/ nauseous till about 9 weeks along. When I hit that 9 week mark and I started to get sick, I was bummed!! I did not want to be sick! Fortunately, I wasn't puke-y sick all the time. I was just nauseous and felt like puking all the time. Sometimes, most of the time, I wish I would just throw up so I could feel better. The only things I felt like eating were plain, boring, and simple things. One of the things I could eat was a bean and cheese burrito from Taco Bell. I am pretty sure Kevin and I ate there at least 4 times a week, if not more. I would also eat a lot of pasta and parmesan cheese. I'm telling you, if it had a strong smell to it, I couldn't handle it. Doing dishes was awful. Kevin was so wonderful at doing the dishes because of how sick it made me. He truly was and continues to be amazing. This whole feeling nauseous phase lasted till about 16 weeks. Everyone said that your second trimester things would get better but I had to wait to a little bit to see that change. In that first trimester we got an ultra sound done. When we saw that little baby on the screen at 8 weeks, I was so excited! We got to see our baby and hear our little baby's heart beat! It was a high of 159 beats per minute. We saw our little baby move and couldn't believe that we had already begun the next chapter to Kevin and mine's marriage. It was the most magical thing I have ever experienced.
So a few weeks into my second trimester, I felt a whole lot better! No more nauseousness or puke-y feeling. I started eating normal things again and boy did I miss that!! After our first ultra sound (first appointment), the nurse would check the baby's heart beat every time. I looked forward to each of those moments to be able to hear our baby's heart beat and knowing that things were still going well! From the beginning of my pregnancy, I was nervous about my pregnancy and hoping and praying that everything went well and smoothly. So being able to hear Kevin and mine's baby's heart beat each appointment brought comfort and peace. There truly is nothing like being able to hear your child's heart beating during your pregnancy. During my second trimester, Kevin and I got to find out what gender our baby was. For the longest time when people asked what I wanted, I honestly did not care as long as they were healthy! But Kevin had engraved into my head that it was going to be a boy and I was so excited! Then, the day of our appointment, Kevin said that we were going to be having a girl. I was like "No way! We're having a baby boy!" Well the time came for us to go into our appointment. We got to see our baby on the screen again! The nurse started going through their checklist. The first thing our baby blessed us with was seeing their face! We got to see our baby's cute little button nose and precious little mouth. The nurse continued with her checklist and checked to make sure our baby had all their fingers and toes. Then, our nurse checked the measurements of the baby's arms and legs. When the nurse measured the baby's leg, it was shorter than average. I laughed knowing that that was definitely Kevin and mine's baby! Our children will get our short genes! I lay there in awe and just trying to soak in each and every moment that we were getting to see of our baby knowing that it wouldn't last forever! Then it finally came! It came time for the nurse to check what our baby's gender was. I was so anxious to know!! There were three little white dots on the screen in the ultra sound and the nurse explained to us that that meant we would be having a precious little girl!! I was slightly bummed that we weren't having a baby but thrilled at the thought that we would be blessed to be parents to a little baby girl!! I was getting a mini me! Little bows, ruffles, and lots of pink were coming our way!! Soon the ultra sound was finished but we got plenty of pictures of our baby girl! One of the pictures from the ultra sound that we got was one of our little girl's profile with her hand over her head, palm up. I instantly knew that this little girl of ours was going to be a drama queen with that personality shining through already!! ;) Oh how I already loved our baby and I couldn't wait to meet our princess! For the naming process, Kevin and I had picked out two girls names and one boy name, which was another reason I wanted a boy so that we wouldn't have to pick one!! The boy name we had picked out was James Loren and the two girl names we had were Scarlette Alice and Elizabeth Lydia. After leaving the appointment Kevin and I looked at each other and didn't know what we were going to do. Over the next few days, Kevin and I were searching for girls names on the internet when one night I came across Charlotte. I asked Kevin what he thought about it and he said he really liked it. We started playing around with middle names and came to like Charlotte Evelyn. Now we had three names! What were we going to do?! Well, we narrowed it down to be either Scarlette or Charlotte since they sounded so similar and we picked Charlotte. Then it was between Charlotte or Elizabeth. We came to the decision that we liked Charlotte Evelyn the most so that's what we started calling her by! I still laugh at the idea that we had two girl names going into our appointment and we didn't pick either of them! At about 21 weeks is when I felt Charlotte kick and know that it was her kicking! I told Kevin and right as he put his hand on my tummy, she kicked so hard! I was so happy that Kevin got to feel her kick the same day I had! It doesn't happen that way very often (so I have read!) so I was ecstatic! Kevin looked at me with amazement and excitement. It was wonderful! Ever since that first kick, I love feeling each of her movements and kicks!! At each of the appointments the nurses check her heart beat and I loved hearing that strong heart beat our little girl had! Another thing I looked forward to for my appointments was Kevin being there. Kevin has been at each and every baby appointment and I couldn't be more thankful and happier. I love that he takes the time out of his work or school schedule to be at those appointments. It means so much to me and I am so blessed to have him as my husband and support. I want him to experience this pregnancy as much as possible with me. Something I wasn't expecting being pregnant was my craving. Being pregnant I have had an increase desire for sugary foods! Ice cream, candy, cookies, you name it. It has sugar in it and I am devouring it!! It is not the best craving but I love it and I am milking it for as long as I possibly can!
Now I am in my third trimester and the last seven and a half months seems like they just blew by! I don't even know how they went by so quickly! But this little girl is just growing, growing, and growing! I finally caved in and started wearing maternity jeans at 31 weeks. I could still wear my other jeans (they were already on the stretchy side) but there is something about maternity pants that makes your belly look better! At the time I was still wearing my non-maternity t-shirts but I am no longer able to wear those so I'm all maternity clothing now!! Thanks baby girl! Another thing that is popping out more and more these days is my belly button. My innie of a belly button has now become an outie belly button and continues to pop out more and more!! I am not gonna lie, I kind of miss my innie belly button haha! Something I did expect being pregnant was needing to go to the bathroom all the time. Something I was NOT expecting that no one warned me about was what happens when you sneeze or cough or put ANY pressure on your bladder you leak a little bit of pee. I know this is a little TMI but I did not expect that at all!! It's slightly embarrassing but what do ya do?? Another thing I didn't expect and I don't know if this is pregnancy related but I am hoping it is is my neck stiffening and occasionally cramping. Most of the time it is painful and I can only move my neck so much. I hope it is pregnancy related so that it will go away after this is all done. Something about Charlotte is she favors the left side and is running out of room to grow in belly! Her kicking and moving is becoming more uncomfortable because there isn't much room in me anymore. I can feel her kick on the left and on the right side at the same time. She is getting too big for my belly!! But I love it because I know she is growing bigger and bigger! I just can't wait for her to be here in my arms!
The time is coming to an end quickly but I also feel like it is going to take forever! I am ready for her to be here but at the same time, I can wait. I know when she comes many things are going to change but when she comes I am excited for this next chapter in Kevin and mine's lives and marriage. I can't wait to see him holding our baby girl. I know I am going to fall more in love with him when I see him holding Charlotte and seeing that bond between a father and a daughter. I know that families can be together forever. I know that this little spirit will be joining our family for many reasons. I can't wait to be the mother that Charlotte needs me to be. I can't wait to teach her what I know to be true. I don't expect things to be easy and smooth sailing but I know that between my Heavenly Father, Kevin and myself everything will work out the way it is meant to and we will be able to do it. I count my blessings everyday and I count this blessing that I have to pregnant with a little girl. I know that I am blessed and couldn't be more excited for Charlotte to be here!
